Your best choice in footstools

We have hundreds of visitors who come to look through our showrooms; many who have not yet decided which Distinctive Chesterfield that they wish to buy from us, some looking to get ideas for their home or commercial premises, others deciding which style or colour of our handcrafted leather to chose for their sofa or club chair.

We are no longer surprised at so many visitors deciding that one of the five footstools we make is just right for them. Footstools have been around since ancient times ever since the time we began to “put our feet up”. Naturally the range of footstool is made with the same exacting care as our other products and we have a size and style that is just right for you, ranging from the low elegant Warwick Footstool, to the elegant and stylish Queen Anne De Luxe Footstool, all in your choice of colour and style of leather finish.

The Suffolk Chesterfield Range

We have recently introduced our Suffolk range of Distinctive Chesterfield because you demanded it and we can understand the reason for this. Without doubt the Suffolk, when highly polished in our red antique leather finish, just looks the part and it is both slim and comfortable.

The Suffolk is simply made for a hotel lobby or comfy bar area, but looks equally as good in a home setting. The Suffolk Chesterfield has slimline arms with a fully buttoned interior and is can be made as a two or three seat version. We can combine this with a number of low chairs, plus matching footstools if required, perfect for your living room.

Naturally, our Suffolk range is available in the three styles of leather finish with all the colours we produce, but we are sure that when you see this in antique leather finish, this could be the one of your choice.

The Derby Chesterfield

If you are looking to a traditional Chesterfield sofa, and so many people do, we would suggest that you look no further than toward our Derby Chesterfield Sofa. We have deliberately based the design of the Derby sofa on the turn of the century style of sofa which has stood up to the test of time in so many situations.

With the Derby we feature a stiff hand sprung and buttoned base and back, hand crafted on to a solid beech wood frame constructed carefully using only screws and dowels which is guaranteed to ensure a long trouble free life. We have used polished mahogany bun feet, further adding to the classical appearance of this chesterfield. The full range of Derby style leather furniture comprises matching footstool, low chair, and two, three, or four seater sofas. The full range of leather finish and colours is available for the Derby range, but we feel it looks its best in Antique Brown leather.

The Rutland Chesterfield Sofa

Described as curvy in shape the Rutland Chesterfield sofa sporting flowing lines is not only eye catching, is so comfortable it makes you not want to get out of it. Many have described this Distinctive Chesterfield model as very reminiscent of the era that produced the delightful “Art Deco” period of furnishing and art, we could not disagree with this thought!

The Rutland comes with a fully buttoned finish with a stiff sprung frame and extra foaming to give excellent support, yet supreme comfort for the user. The Rutland is not confined to Chesterfields, but includes footstools, chairs and the Chesterfield Sofa is made for you in two, three and four seater styles. Naturally, the complete range of our leather finishes is available, in the full range of colour options.

Footstools from Distinctive Chesterfields

Whether you have bought a Leather Chesterfield or not, a footstool is a wonderful way to literally “put your feet up”. Raising ones feet when sitting and relaxing is recommended by the medical profession and is a sure way to take the weight off your feet.

The footstools made at the Distinctive Chesterfield traditional hand crafted workshops are made to the same exacting standards as all the sofas and tub chairs from us. The frame is crafted by time served frame makers using high grade materials in a traditional workshop, following which the leather is carefully selected finished and cut by trained leatherworkers, who have a keen eye for only the best quality leathers.

The Queen Anne footstool is one of five distinctive styles which are offered, naturally with the same choice of leather quality and colours that are offered on all other products.
